Band History:Back in 2002 the band named Pulse broke up and Tom
O'Connell keyboard player/booker was looking to form a new band.
I found the needed players for guitar,bass,drums to play a gig at
Shenanigan's in Florissant,Mo. We needed to come up with a name and
at that time we came up with the name Assorted Nuts because we use
an assortment of players to play cover songs at area bars. This name
stuck and was used until about August,2007 when it became
necessary to split the band into 2 different lineups to cover the
schedule and match the individuals players schedules and commitments
from their day jobs or whatever. Thus the reason for The Backstreet
Cruisers and JaxxRBetter to become what they are now.

JaxxRBetter Band Description: This is a 5 pc. band consisting of
guitar,bass,drums,keyboards,lead singer. This band has been playing
around metro St.Louis since 2002. We have some friends and followers
but the number always varies. Some of the other bands we sometimes work with are:3rd Degree,,Ultamatum,The Stools(original band)
Jam Station,Backstreet Cruisers,Doc Walters,Steamroller Blues,Guilty Pleazure,Vodoo Mambo,Poncho & Cisco Duo,
Brother D and the Woodaddies,Wooden Nickel,Silver Rain, (Assorted Nuts booking has or may assist these bands in
the past,present, or future in their booking efforts). Most of the
above bands do most of their own booking and are independent of
Assorted Nuts booking. Assorted Nuts has been registered with the
state of Missouri in Jefferson City.
Music style: JaxxRBetter plays an assortment of Rock,
Blues,Country
cover songs mostly from the 1970's to the present. Every so often we
may play an original.
Mixed Nuts lineup has been formed the month of June 2008 to
cover gigs that some of the bands listed above can not. This
is a cover band comprised of players from various bands that
play classic rock,some new rock,blues cover songs.
Places we play: (JaxxRBetter/Mixed Nuts)play restaurants,bars,parties,wedding receptions.
The bar business is our primary place at this time ,since 2002
we have a group of followers that come to our gigs,however the
size of the attendence always varies.
