WELCOME TO OUR FINE ART GARDEN!
Artists go back at least four generations in our family mostly in the women. The grandchildren are now also imerging as artists. You will find art by several women of this family. Each has her own distinct style and subjects. Please enjoy our galleries and be sure to leave comments!
Stacie Kroos is a fourth generation artist who specializes
in fantasy art, portraits, and whatever strikes her fancy.. She works in watercolor, colored pencil, and acrylics. Stacie is a wife and mother of two, who uses her art as an outlet from stress and the need to express her creativity through her artistic talent. She has participated in the Kansas city streetpainting festival for five consecutive years, and has taken art-related classes at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. She has also shown at Starbucks Coffee in Olathe as well as other various coffeehouses around the Kansas city area. Stacie currently works part time in the picture framing business and resides in Olathe,Kansas.
Linda Wisely is Stacie's mother and has shown and sold her
art in Kansas and throughout the United States for over 25 years. Linda choses her subject matter by the emotional impact it has on her. Though proficient in many mediums, Linda does most of her art
in acrylic or pastels. Her work is characterized by the use of
bright colors and deep contrast. She has done many portraits
of people and animals in addition to murals. In 2008 Linda was chosen to participate in the 6 foot tall cowboy boots in Olathe,Kansas. Her piece was intitled "First Snow" and depicted Olathe before it was settled with a barn scene and cowboy in the snow in a surround picture of the upper boot,with a buffalo on the toe. She also served as an artist in residence at the Lester Raymer
Studio and Red Barn Museum in Linsborg,Kansas. During her residency, she taught pastel classes for adults and children. Linda will be the artist in residence again at the Raymer museum the first two weeks of July, 2009. In addition to her art, Linda is a singer-songwriter. Her videos can be seen on YouTube by looking under "Restless Spirit by wiselylinda".
Rhiannon is Stacie's daughter. She specializes in dragon art and anime' art. Rhiannon spends most of her free time working on her art.
Erin Black is the photographer Pam Black's oldest daughter and grandaughter of Linda Wisely. Her latest artistic medium is spraypaint art.
Holly Black is Erin's 11 year old sister, Linda's grandaughter. She works in acrylics,pastels, and pencil.
All of us are confident and accomplished artists who regularly show our work in the Kansas City area.
Stacie and Linda are active members of the Ottawa Kansas
Art Guild and the Olathe Visual Artists.
