Basic Beliefs
This site is about basic beliefs in several different pagan/wiccan beliefs.
The Rede:
Do as ye will,least it harm none.
Depending on whom you ask what this means you will get several different answers (which is normal)
I feel that this means not hurting/harming anyone intentially. Manly be careful of what you say and how you act around others.
Most everyone is accepting of others belief, we all feel that there is more than one path to take and that they all lead to the same place.
We worship both a Goddess and a God, they go by many names. Some feel they all represent one dietie and others feel each is unique.
We have eight Sabbats that we follow.
Samhain October 31: This is one of the days that the vail between worlds is the thinnest, we use this day to honor the ones we loved who have passed to the other side. A good day for divination and celebration.Colors Orange and Black. Symbols:jack-a-latern,bobbing for apples, apples
Yule Dec 22: This day we celebrate the rebirth of the Sun into the sky. It is the longest night and shortest day. Colors: Red and Green. Symbols: Yule tree, Yule Log, Holly King, wreaths
Imbolc Feb 2: We continue to help the Sun grow stronger, alot of light is used and so are candles. Colors: White. Candles, wreaths.
Ostara March 20: Celebrating the fertility of the Earth/Goddess. Colors Pink and spring green. Symbols: Eggs, rabbits.
Beltane May 1: Celebrating the start of Spring, a time were the God and Goddess get together. Colors: purple and greens ( the color of fresh flowers) symbols: May Poles, Bonfires, stag.
Litha June 21:Summer Solstic
Lammas Aug 1: First of three harvest
Mabon Sept 23: Second of three harvest
