Take off your "mental shoes" so you don't get my page "dirty" with prejudice and a pre-set mentalities. Keep an open mind...at all times..
I hope you enjoy what you read...This is my HOME page. Make sure you look next to my picture to check out my other pages!!
Leave all thoughts at the entrance. Get ready to visit with my mind and slow dance with my soul to the melody of my words.
All you need is an "open pen"....
So just relax and allow me to do the rest, because I am the best wordsmith you'll ever meet....
"Carving thoughts into cerebrums that have been resting on the "Lazy-Boys" of LIFE, I SEEK KNOWLEDGE through my third eye that has been infected by lazy cataracts....."
I promise you this will be an experience you will not forget.

Mardi Gras (the poem)
HANGING OFF THESE NEW ORLEANS BALCONIES
THEY USED TO BE MASKS NOW ARE JUST CADAVERS
DRESSED UP AS IF THEY WERE STILL ALIVE
PLAYING THIS MASCHERADE CALLED LIFE
THE WATERS STILL RISE INSIDE
FLOODING DREAMS ON CLOSED EYES
EYES CLOSED SHUT SO THEY DON'T SEE MORE POVERTY
EYE LIDS THAT DON'T BLINK
THE WERE LEFT FOR DEAD BUT THEY WERE STILL BREATHING
SOME WERE HOLDING THEIR BREATH UNDER WATER FOR DAYS
WE SEEM TO BE ABLE TO DELIVER "CARE PACKAGES" TO AFGHANISTAN
DEEP INTO THE CAVES LOOKING FOR BIN LADEN
OUR SOLDIER WERE ALSO SENT TO N.O.
BUT NO ONE CAN'T FIND THEIR FOLKS ALIVE
HECK! SOME DAYS WE CAN'T FIND NEW ORLEANS
WIPED CLEAN FROM THE MAP
WATERS AND STREET LIGHTS ARE NOW JUST ONE
JOYNT AT THE HIP
THEY "GOT MARRIED" WITH ERASED MEMORIES OF HIP HOP
FRENCH ACCENTS OF BLUES ARE RE-MIXED WITH JAZZ AND SCREAMS
THIS IS A SURREALISTIC SCENE
IT'S "MARDI GRAS"
BUT THERE IS NO BODY FAT LEFT OFF THESE BONES
HANGING OFF ROOF TOPS AND TREE BRANCHES
THEY WERE NOT HANGING BUT JUST FLOATING
THEY WERE LEFT "HANGING BY OUR GOVERNMENT"
AND NOW NOTHING IS FAT AROUND THESE STREETS
NEW ORLEANS USED TO BE LIKE A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG GIRL
NOW USED AND ABUSED BY STREET PIMPS
ABANDONED ONCE COULD NOT MAKE 'EM NO MO' MONEY...
THEY STILL SING DOWN IN NEW ORLEANS
THESE SAD SPRING BREAK SONGS
HYMS SOAKED IN TEARS AND DROWNING SORROWS
ROOF TOPS STILL HOLDING ON THE BURDEN OF HUMAN LIVES LEFT TO DIE
THESE EYES ARE REFLECTING IMAGES THEY WISH THEY NEVER SAW
ANOTHER MAN TRYING TO STAY AFLOAT
HOPING A COP, A MAN IN UNIFORM, WOULD SAVE HIM
(NOT ROB HIM!!...)
BRIDGES SERVING AS FLOATING PLATFORMS FOR MEN IN ORANGE SUITS
CANAL STREET BECAME AN OCEAN
THESE WAVES LIKE SHARKS SWALLOWED SOULS
WHILE THE REST OF THE WORLD JUST WATCHED..
"WE COULD NOT MOVE
WE HAD NOWHERE TO GO,
WE WERE TOLD THE ROAD TO SALVATION WAS SHUT
TO WAIT AT HOME FOR A FLOATING DEVICE...."
I.....
.....I.......
I...........AM AMAZED AT THIS RAIN OF INDIFFERENCE...
STILL FALLING DOWN UNTO NEW ORLEANS
KATRINA WASHED UP CANAL STREET
SO NOW GHOSTS OF CADAVERS STAND ON EMPTY BALCONIES
STARING DOWN AT ENTIRE CROWDS OF DEAD BODIES SURROUNDING THEM
SOME OF THESE SHADOWS STILL RUN AROUND TOWN
NOT LOOTING AND ROBBING
BUT TRYING TO GET BACK WHAT THEY LOST IN THE FLOODS
THEY MOVED THE PARTY FROM THE GHETTO TO HEAVEN
SO, I GUESS, IN THE END, THE GOVERNMENT WAS SUCCESSFUL IN VACATING THE PROJECTS..
BUT ONE QUESTION STILL STANDS IN MY MIND
(CUZ SEE I CAN'T JUST MIND MY OWN BUSINESS)
WAS THIS MASSACRE NECESSARY?
IF BY SOME TYPE OF ILLUSION......
IF WE COULD GO BACK
AND RE MAP HISTORY IN THE MAKING
TRULY GETTING THE PEOPLE OUT OF THE PROJECTS (IN TIME)
WOULD THE LEVIES FAIL IN A CITY THAT BAILED?
A "GHOST CITY" EMPTIED IN THE END AS PLANNED
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE
THESE SEWERS WOULD THEN JUST SHOW SHYT FLOATING
RATHER THAN BODIES....
WINDS OF TRUTH BLOWING STRONGER THAN KATRINA
SO GO AHEAD AND ASK THAT TO OUR GOVERNMENT...
AND REALIZE HOW MANY LIARS DID NOT DROWN IN NEW ORLEANS!
(THEY JUST RELOCATED)
